La Villa Romaine
Winery Murder Mystery Weekends
"Murder
by Jealousy, Deceit,
and Greed"
Story Line: This mystery is set in a small historic town
called Petersburg. A charming town with it's 18th and 19th century homes, historic landmarks, bed & breakfasts,
and carriage rides down through Old Towne Petersburg.
This is the town where Barry Romaine was born and raised. He was the proud owner of La Villa Romaine, a prestigious
bed & breakfast in town, and a small winery in Williamsburg known as Williamsburg Vineyards. It has been
several years since Barry mysteriously disappeared during the wine festival in 1992.
The annual wine festival begins again this weekend with every room booked at La Villa Romaine. A couple decided
to check in early on Thursday evening because of the awful thunderstorm. The innkeeper went down to the wine cellar
to retrieve a bottle of wine for the evening. To his dismay the cellar was a bit flooded and the wooden floor
had buckled under several days of rain. Early Friday
morning Barry Romaine's body was found buried under the wooden floor. The police summoned all the people who were
guests at the B&B at the time Barry first disappeared. At the moment all are considered suspects, even a family
member and a trusted employee. Will they really help solve this mystery, or turn on each other and keep their
dirty little secrets to themselves? A visit to the Williamsburg Vineyards may give us a clue.
