La Villa Romaine
Winery Murder Mystery Weekends
"Murder! For Love Or For Money"
Story Line: A small charming Italian town set in the luscious valleys of the wine country. This small town is not in Italy but in Virginia. This morning screams rang throughout the house as the maid stood over the slightly warm body of Carlo Rossini.
There on the library floor laid Mr. Rossini in a pool of blood with his antique dagger protruding out of his chest. Carlo Rossini was a wealthy owner of the prestigious Rossini Vineyards and the most hated man in the valley. Which person committed this crime? A vengeful winery owner, a jealous friend or a greedy family member? As Carlo Rossini was taken away from his villa, his family, friends and neighbors were being summoned by the Detective in charge of the investigation.
Everyone will
be forced to remain over the weekend to help solve this
gruesome murder. They all suspect each other whether
verbally or in secret. Later as the clues were unfolding
everyone appeared to be at each others throat. Maybe the
person sitting or sleeping next to you is the murderer.
A visit to the Williamsburg Vineyards may give us a clue.

----------------------------------------------------------
Franco Rossini. I am the oldest son of Carlo Rossini and I have a brother Leonardo and a sister Gabriella. I also have a beautiful wife named Gina. I have worked with my father in the vineyard most of my life. My father always had intended for me to run the Rossini vineyards someday. Didn't expect it quite so soon. I loved my father very much, but he and I didn't always agree. I sometimes did things behind his back. If he ever found out I would be in a great deal of trouble.
Leonardo Rossini. I am a great racecar driver and a great lover of all women. Beautiful women are crazy about me. I love to race my cars and spend money on my ladies. My father wanted me to settle down. I prefer to be, as they say, a playboy. I hate the vineyards, but the allowance I get from it helps me keep my lifestyle.
Gabriella Rossini. I am the only daughter of Carlo Rossini. He always called me Rosa, after my mother. I too grew up in the vineyards. When I was sixteen, Papa barred me from going into the vineyards. He said I wasn't looking at the grapes but the young men---shirtless----picking the grapes. I worked beside my father for a long time, and I will miss him very much. I don't know who would do this terrible thing to my father--to this family!
Gina Rossini. I am married to Franco Rossini. We met in Italy at my family vineyard in 1997 and later that year we were married. We don't have any children, so I spend most of my time at the club playing tennis or hosting my favorite charities. My friends and I recently raised enough money to fund the children's home with new books, toys and playground equipment. As you can see I love children. My father-in-law was always kind to me. We must find out who killed him and why!
Maria Lucido. I own Lucido Vineyards next to the Rossini's family Vineyards. I also grew up around the vineyards. Our grapes in Italy were good, but of course they came from a small vineyard. My family had hoped by being next to the Rossini's vineyard that it would improve our grapes. We believe it has. Someday my son will run our vineyards. As a neighbor, I always tried to get along with Carlo Rossini. But he could be a difficult man and seemed to take great pleasure in doing so.
Sophia Perillo. My parents also had a vineyard next to the Rossini family. My father was a terrible businessman and the vineyard failed. We were lucky that the Rossini family bought us out. My father opened a darling little bakery with a garden cafe. I was still close to the Rossini family. We all grew up together and I always felt like we were one large family. Today we still have the bakery but I now run it alone. My parents left everything to me. Even today I still go through my mother's things from time to time. I get a surprise now and then. I always wanted brothers and sisters. I hated being the only child.
Giuseppe Stefano. I have been the manager of the Rossini Vineyards for twenty-three years. I mostly worked with Franco. We worked well together and had a lot of the same ideas for increasing business. It's no secret that Carlo and I disagreed the majority of the time. I hated those arguments we had. I think if it wasn’t for that, we could have been great friends. As you all know, I have no family of my own. I have always felt close to Franco, Leonardo and Gabriella. Especially for them, I would like to see whoever committed this crime severely punished.
